Services
We provide residential care in a community based setting at the Intermediate Care Facility level of care (ICF). Our homes are licensed by the California Department of Public Health to serve six people in each home. While our licensure holds us to a higher standard than other community based models, one would never know when driving down our streets that there is a facility in the neighborhood. Our homes are just that the home for the people who reside there. We do this by ensuring that the high level medical and nursing supports, therapeutic modalities, behavioral interventions when needed and the 24 hour care and supervision required by our residents, are delivered in a manner that maintains the home-like setting and a rhythm of life that matches that of individuals living in the family home. Our homes include:
- Intermediate Care Facilities/Developmentally Disabled-Habilitative (ICF-DDH) : Harbor Health Care currently operates eight of these homes in the La Mirada, Artesia, Norwalk, and Cerritos communities.
- Intermediate Care facilities/Developmentally Disabled-Nursing (ICF-DDN): Harbor Health Care currently operates
ten of these homes in the Bellflower, La Palma and Cypress communities. - Please feel free to take a virtual tour of one of our homes. Whether you are looking for an opportunity to join our team of caring staff or placement for a family member in one of our homes, we welcome your interest in Harbor Health Care.
