Q: Do you hire people without any practical experience? A: Yes. We do hire people with little or no experience; however we screen all applicants thoroughly prior to an interview and offer of employment. New hires undergo classroom training and supervised facility orientation prior to contact with the residents.
Q: How often do you hire? A: DCS positions are hired as the need arises; this is hard to predict but usually there is at least one orientation group per month. QMRPs, LVNs, and RN positions come open infrequently BUT we are always accepting resumes for those positions.
Q: What are your screening requirements? A: All positions at Harbor Health Care, Inc. requires a criminal background clearance with the Department of Justice (DOJ). If a person does not have a clearance on file with the DOJ, fingerprints will be submitted for a background check.
Applicants have to disclose any criminal convictions on the employment application. Applicants must also have a valid state ID or Driver’s License. Q: How long do you keep my application on file? A: Applications are kept on file for one year. We periodically go through the applications to see if people are still interested in positions.
